The ‘Maurino’ variety is valued for its early and regular yield as well as good productivity. The fruits are small and ripen early, with oil content comparable to the Leccino variety. It is resistant to Peacock Spot disease but somewhat more sensitive to low temperatures. Maurino oils have a lower intensity, with a gentle bitterness and spiciness. This oil is suitable for those who prefer milder, more subtle flavors.
