Tonin Pucer, called “TOMAŽEL”, after his return from the war in Russia, built a house made of stone, mud and reed, with a nice balcony made of wood.

In 2002, the actual owner, his grandchild and successor, Nevijo Pucer bought, with his family, the rest of the house from the other heirs. In this way he realized his wish to renovate the house and bring tradition back to life. Today there is a fireplace like in the old times, a bar counter made of staves and period furniture inside the house.

A built-in wall cupboard, inside the renovated Istrian house, is an old entrance to the village inn of, at that time illiterate, TONIN TOMAŽEL.
